Salon spy: the Balance Clinic reviewed
Atmosphere and clientele:
Balance has an atmosphere of calm self-assurance perfectly in harmony with the clinic’s surroundings. Here, things are done properly or not at all. The facilities are stylish without being self-conscious and so are the customers: businessmen in for early-morning acupuncture, Chelsea wives on maintenance days, out-of-towners, even children.
Products and treatments:
From facials and reflexology to intense pulsed light therapy and laser-assisted lipo, the emphasis is on tailor-made holistic treatments. Our spy had acupuncture and a massage. The acupuncturist, Archna, showed a real understanding and dedication to her craft. Her technique, using heated needles, was very effective – immediately, our spy’s tense muscles relaxed and the feeling lasted for days. The treatment also stimulated her depleted immune system. The effects were so noticeable that our spy booked another session a few days later. The massage was gentle yet firm thanks to Yumiko, who knew exactly where to find the knots and, quietly but effectively, unravelled them.
Highs:
Professional staff, pleasant surroundings, wide range of treatments, excellent advice.
Lows:
Could become an expensive addiction?
